Thank You One and All

It has been a long hard road since the beginning of December when I had my Aortic Valve Replacement . The surgery itself wasn’t so bad…I slept through it.  The following week was tough but I made good progress. The difficulties came later when we found that my enzymes were out of whack…result of medications. They have been trying to balance my meds ever since. They have them just about right now though I still have to have lab tests every week I have also started cardio rehab three times a week for two hours. So you see I have been pretty busy and my creativity has taken a back seat to these other things. Now I want to get it back.

I have so many people to thank. It is in times like these one learns who one’s friends are. First I want to thank the surgeon who held my heart in her hands and did with it what she had to. Next I have to thank all the doctors and nurses who guided me onto the right path and kept me on it. I owe so much to my life partner who sat for so many hours beside my bed while I mostly slept. I want to thank the friends and neighbors who brought us wonderfully cooked dinners which I enjoyed despite a diminished appetite. Last though, but by no means least, I thank all of you who sent get well wishes with their thoughts and prayers. I couldn’t have done it without you.

I love you all,
